Learn step-by-step how to design cake jewellery with wire and beads and how to create a dazzling flower girl wand. Discover what tools and materials are required and the techniques for finishing off your designs.
Held at Shiney Company (Brand new shop and workshop at 5 Saville Row, Bath, BA1 2QP adjacent the Assembly Rooms)
The workshop begins at 10.30 a.m. and finishes at 4.30 p.m. with a 1 hour lunch break.
What will I learn?
1. What tools are required and how to use them safely.
2. Wire, beads and findings required to make cake decorations - design a heart shaped wire garland with different gauges of wire and add sparkling Swaroski Crystals to add a special touch to your cake.
3. Step-by-step techniques to make a wire and bead flower girl wand with ribbons - learn how to create the flower head and encrust the centre with beads, decorate your wand stick with wire and ribbons and attach your flower head safely.
4. Finishing your designs professionally
How much will it cost?
The cake decoration and flower girl wand workshop is just £55 and includes a £15 voucher to spend on Swarovski Crystals. This is enough to make the items if you follow the guidelines of the tutor. Any additionl beads used must be paid for on the day at the usual retail price. Use of tools, wire and other basic materials are all included in the price along with light refreshments.
Lunch
You are welcome to bring a packed lunch, however, there are many cafes, sandwich shops and bars within walking distance that serve food and snacks.

Shiney Company is wheelchair friendly. If you have any special requirements or use a wheelchair, we would be grateful if you would let us know so that we can ensure their is adequate space for you and other students.
