Jewellery making course - Bead and Wire jewellery workshop in Bath

Wednesday evenings 6.30pm to 8.30pm

Taking place at Shiney's bead shop and jewellery workshop located at 5 Saville Row, Bath, BA1 2QP. 

No experience necessary.

Learn how to make earrings, bracelets and necklaces using wire and stringing techniques. We teach you the techniques to make your own individual jewellery designs to take away with you.

The jewellery workshop begins at 6.30pm  and finishes at 8.30pm and run every Wednesday evening.

What will I learn?
1. What tools are required and how to use them safely
2. Wire, beads and findings required to make these items of jewellery
3. Step-by-step techniques to make earrings, beaded and wire bracelets, necklaces, and rings
4. Techniques to finish your jewellery in a professional manner

Fireworks Necklace Evening Jewellery Making Class held in Bath, Somerset
Work with SWAROVSKI ELEMENTS Crystals and Pearls to create this beautiful bangle. You will learn the art of right angle weave using monofilament to form the structure of the bangle along with techniques for making the correct size and starting and finishing the thread securely.

Work with beads, buttons, wire & ribbons to create this chunky textured design. You will learn how to attach the beads to the wires, wrap with ribbons and fasten with cord ends.

Lariat Necklace Evening Jewellery Making Class held in Bath, Somerset
Learn how to make a lariat necklace. A lariat is a long length style necklace that can be worn in a variety of ways, either as a simple wrap over, worn like a scarf, a chocker or a belt! You will learn how to turn beads in to clusters of charms, knot them into the cord and finish the cord ends to create this fun and fashionable necklace.

Learn the art of right-angle weave and make this pretty bracelet with seed beads and drops. You will create a right angle weave base and embellish the edges to make a ruffle effect. In addition, learn to make a button fastening using beads and attach securely. Great beadwork techniques class.

Learn how to make knots with wire and turn them into beads embellished with Swarovski Elements crystals. You will learn wirework techniques to make the beads, then string them using flexible jewellery wire, hard crimps, wire guardians and crimps covers. Complete the design with cord, using cord ends and attaching the clasp. Packed with techniques!

Wire & Bead Necklace  - Evening Jewellery Making Class held in Bath, Somerset
Learn how to make freeform wire shapes, hammer them for strength and decoration and then create a centrepiece on memory wire, before finishing the design with cord and learning how to fasten cord ends securely.

Please note that images are for illustrative purposes only. These are a representation of the style you will be making. Beads will be provided including SWAROVSKI ELEMENTS where stated. We provide enough beads for your to successfully complete the project, however, you may wish to bring beads of your own, or work with extras purchased in the shop on the day.

How much will it cost?
The Introduction to jewellery making sessions are just £20 per class and include materials such as glass beads, semi-precious gemstones, shells, wooden beads and much much more. Use of tools and light refreshments are also included. Enrol online or call 01225 332 506 to book your place.

Please note: Advance payment and deposits are neither refundable nor transferable if you are unable to attend the workshops. If you have paid deposit only, you are liable for full payment of the workshop if you are unable to attend. Cancellations received 14 days prior to workshop date and cancellations with extenuating circumstances can be transfered. This is at the discretion of the proprietors. If you have a holiday booked or know a specific date that you cannot attend during the 6 weeks, please notify us at the time of booking.
