Jewellery making course - Bead and Wire jewellery workshop in Stroud


Every wednesday evening - Booked in a block of 6 weeks, unless you have already completed 6 and wish to book individual classes.

Taking place at Shiney's bead shop and jewellery workshop located at 27 High Street, Stroud, Gloucestershire, GL5 1AJ. 

No experience necessary.

Learn how to make earrings, bracelets and necklaces using wire and stringing techniques. We teach you the techniques to make your own individual jewellery designs to take away with you.

Connect the individual links together to create an attractive chain. You will learn tips for working with wire and how to successfully hammer wire to make these lovely links.

Hammered wire links and wire wrapped beads necklace - Jewellery Making Workshop
Wire-work Class
Learn how make hammered wire charms to decorate your chain. You will learn how to wire wrap beads and use the wrapped loop technique for a decorative and secure finish. This project can be made with chain all around the back or with cord as shown.

Learn how make create this pretty tiara with SWAROVSKI ELEMENTS Crystals and Pearls. You will learn how to decorate the band with crystals and pearls made to look like flowers and then create swirls of embellishments to complete the design.

Chunky Cube and Crystal Beadwork Bracelet - Jewellery Making Workshop
Beadwork Class
Learn how make this fabulous beadwork bracelet using Miyuki cubes, seed beads and Swarovski crystals. You will make this design over two weeks, learning all the beadwork basics and how to incorporate an integral loop clasp and bead fastening. Learn how to do half hitch knots to secure your work and how start and finish the thread securely.

Indian Circles Necklace Jewellery Making Workshop
Wire-work and Linking Class
Learn how create these ‘Bollywood’ style crystal hoops with wire and SWAROVSKI CRYSTALS. You will learn how to create your own wire links for form the chain and make the centrepiece, decorating with crystals in the colours of your choice. Great wire-work techniques class.

Please note that images are for illustrative purposes only. These are a representation of the style you will be making. Beads will be provided including SWAROVSKI ELEMENTS where stated. We provide enough beads for your to successfully complete the project, however, you may wish to bring beads of your own, or work with extras purchased in the shop on the day.

How much will it cost?
The Introduction to jewellery making sessions are just £20 per class and include materials such as glass beads, semi-precious gemstones, shells, wooden beads and much much more. Use of tools and light refreshments are also included. Enrol online or call 01453 753 609 to book your place.

Please note: Advance payment and deposits are neither refundable nor transferable if you are unable to attend the workshops. If you have paid deposit only, you are liable for full payment of the workshop if you are unable to attend. Cancellations received 14 days prior to workshop date and cancellations with extenuating circumstances can be transfered. This is at the discretion of the proprietors. If you have a holiday booked or know a specific date that you cannot attend during the 6 weeks, please notify us at the time of booking.
